Travis, Evan, and I headed out early Saturday morning for a Pittbulls football tournament in Little Rock. We knew it was going to be cold and miserable, so Blake and Beau stayed with Nonnie and Poppy. Travis was sick also. He had started running fever the night before, but was determined to go anyway.
Evan, Grant, and Jonathan suited up and ready to play the first game! They combined some kids from blue and gray, so Grant got to play with us!
FREEZING!! Travis stayed in the car until right before the game started because he felt so bad. So, I held the fort down in the stands:)
After the first game, we headed to the hotel to check in and get some dinner. The boys had a blast eating together!
Before the 2nd game that evening. It was SO cold and they found a warm locker room to hang out in before the game started!
It was a tough game. We were SO close to winning. Ev missed an extra point attempt at the very end during overtime that could have pulled us ahead. It was super hard for him. But, a very good learning/life experience. And I kept reminding him that football games are won and lost as a team!!
He perked up by the time we got back to the hotel. It was too late to swim, so all the boys gathered in the lobby and watched Razorback football together;)
Evan getting ready to play his final game as a Pittbull! This was Travis and Evan's ritual before every game. Travis helped Evan get his shoulder pads on and all snapped up. I got teary eyed watching them.
He was ready to get out there and have fun no matter what!!
Travis was SO sick. At this point his temperature was around 103:(
This was the boys before the game. They were all in such a good mood. They had their "kick line" going on the way out on the field:)
Evan snuggled up in his new blanket and warmed up after the game!
We met several families from the team at Chilis in Conway. It was fun and the boys ATE!
Evan and Jonathan really enjoyed their ribs!!
Really fun ending to a great weekend!!
