Sick Baby Boy

The Sunday after Razorfest we got up and went to church, then went to LaFiesta for lunch with Nonnie and Poppy. Beau was happy and fine until about halfway through the meal. Then he just sort of wilted. He curled up in my lap and was burning up! By the time we got home, his temperature was 102.6. I gave him some Tylenol and put him down for a nap. When he woke up his temp was 103.2. I gave him some Motrin and he sat down on the couch. Beau NEVER sits anywhere, so I knew he was pretty miserable.

By about 6:00 his temp was up to 104.4. I was starting to get worried. My mom came by to see him, and we stripped him down and put him in the tub. After about an hour and more Tylenol it was down to 102ish.

We had a pretty miserable night. At 3:00 AM his temp was up to 104.6. I was really bracing myself for a seizure. He was SO lethargic and HOT!! After Tylenol and Motrin and about 1 1/2 hours it came back down to 102ish again.

We were in Dr. Whitaker's office by 9:30 the next morning. Bless his sweet heart, he had strep throat and an ear infection. We got some antibiotics and came home. He wanted to lay on the couch. For the first time in his life, he actually curled up and laid down on the couch. I knew we was miserable!

Then the unheard of happened...he fell asleep. Right on the couch, in the middle of the day. He was one sick baby.

Thankfully, by the next morning the fever was gone and he was very close to back to his normal self. I really hate to see any of my baby's sick, but this was one of the worst. Poor Beau Beau.

Razorfest

A couple of weekends ago we headed up to Fayetteville for Razorfest. We had a really good time. We started out walking around checking out all the games and booths. We found out really quickly that Beau DOES NOT like big stuffed characters!! There was a dentist office with a "tooth" walking around the crowd and Beau went ballistic when he saw it!! We took this picture right after the first sighting of the the "tooth". Ha!

We got to see the players arrive for the Red & White game. Evan pushed his way right up to the front and Tyler Wilson high-fived him when he walked by. Evan was thrilled!

We met up with Nana, Trisha, and Malory and did some more exploring. We had to stop at the Nickelodeon booth. Malory and Ev with Spongebob!

Beau loved the rabbit ears, but he DID NOT like the Energizer bunny that was walking around one bit! All day he kept saying "no like rabbit, no like rabbit"!!!!

We had so much fun watching the game. Beau was GREAT!!! Here I am with my baby at his first football game!

Travis and Beau...did I mention how good Beau was? In hindsight....he was probably getting sick at this point. By the next afternoon he was one sick cookie!!

At one point in the game they gave away some awards and Ryan Mallett was there to get some. Afterwards he started walking around the field. At one point he got really close to the stands and people started swarming down trying to get him to give autographs. He was really nice, and started autographing. Evan asked if he could go down. I told him no, because he didn't even have anything for him to sign. He said he just wanted to get a closer look at him, so I said yes. About 3 minutes later he was back....with Ryan Mallett's autograph on the back of his shirt! He wormed his way through the crowd, made it down to him, got his autograph and was back in record time!!

After the game we headed to Monte Ne Chicken for dinner. Have I mentioned it before....the greatest meal ever!!! So basic, but SO SO good!!!

Way to Go Blake!!!

There was an Award's Assembly at Blake's school a couple of weeks ago and he received 2 awards!!! I was SO proud of him!!

He got an award for Highest Grade in Science on his team and Runner-Up for Highest Grade in Math on his team.

I just couldn't be more proud of Blake! He is so smart and takes his school work very seriously. Good job Blaker!!!!

eBay - OH MY!!

Ok, so it all started when I sold Travis's old iPhone and did REALLY well. I realized what a gold mine eBay could be. So, I started listing a few things here and there. Then, I got the bug!! I was selling pretty much everything in our house that wasn't nailed down:)

Thankfully I have a friend, Sherry, who happens to be an eBay pro! She is teaching me her tricks of the trade. I've moved on to "shopping" for things to sell. I even opened an eBay store!!!

This was my haul one day after hitting the Goodwill store and a couple of consignment shops. Since then, I have sold all but 2 things in this picture:)

I found this "sweet" Wrangler shirt at a garage sale. Travis HAD to try it on for size:) Too bad it was a tad too small!!! Ha!!

It's serious when you buy a tape gun, right?? But, I actually got both the tape gun and bubble wrap free at Staples with my Staples reward for recycling ink cartridges!

It's so funny, because as many garage sales as I have had, I have NEVER shopped at garage sales. Just too much digging and I thought I could never find anything good. Well, times have changed. I can't wait for Friday and Saturday mornings so I can go shop. There are treasurers everywhere, I tell ya!

So, now you know. I've gone crazy....again. Seriously, at least all my hobbies tend to either save or make money, right???

Right now...

My big boys are sitting in front of the TV watching Mary Poppins. Probably for the 5th or 6th time in the past week. Why?? I have no idea. But, I'm glad. It's a sweet relief from Sponge Bob and Duck Dynasty:) Oh how I love Mary!!!

Easter Egg Hunting!

The weather on Easter was perfect!! We did lots of hiding and hunting Easter eggs. The first time we hid a whole bunch easy for Beau. We had to hold the big boys back a little bit. Then, we did a harder hunt with plastic eggs and prizes for the big boys. They got a little competitive.:)

We had a FUN afternoon hanging out with our family. And then, we all went home and took a long nap. Ahhhhhh......

Easter Lunch at Nonnie & Poppy's!

Easter morning we had our church services at the Performing Arts Center. Travis was singing in the special Easter choir, so he had to be at both services. We all decided we would attend the 9:00 service together. The morning went SO smooth! Travis is a champ on Sunday mornings. He pretty much gets himself and all 3 boys ironed and ready while I get ready:) We were actually a few minutes early. We met NaNa & PaPa there. The rest of my family wasn't quite as prompt, and they ended up at the 11:00 service:(
