Bulldogs!

I finally made it to a football game!!  Nonnie kept Beau so I got to go with Travis and the big boys to

the homecoming game.  It's crazy how much more enjoyable football is now that I have a reason to want to understand it:)

Blake and Mason sat together and they were pure entertainment!

Mason managed to convince the guy behind us to buy his half finished grape Slush Puppy and 3 sour straws for $1.50.  It was absolutely hilarious!!!  They bargained through most of the 3rd quarter:)

Ev sat with his friend Easton.  He had so much fun.  On Friday he brought home "Blue the Bulldog" from his classroom.  He had to take Blue around with him during the weekend and then write about his experiences through "Blue's" perspective.  Here he is with Blue after the football game.

Blue went with us to the Scogin's house to grill and make s'mores.  Fun times!

On Friday morning there was an awards assembly for 6th graders who earned awards during the first 9 weeks.  I was SO proud!!  Blake won an award for most AR books read and 2nd place in Science for his team. Way to go Blake!!!

It was a good weekend to be a bulldog!!

Beau Beau

Whitney came over Friday morning to play.  These two just make me happy!  They play so good togehter/next to each other.  At this point Whitney was driving a car on Beau's back and they would be just giggle:)

I had ordered them shirts for their birthday, and they finally came.  So, I had to put them on and try to get a picture.

Of course, they weren't cooperating at all.

I mean seriously, have you ever seen any two cuter kiddos???

Beau has decided that canned veggies are his fave.  He likes them straight out of the can, cold, with the juice.  First he drinks the juice, then scarfs down the chosen veggie.  Today, it was green beans.

Beau also LOVES his wagon.  He begs to outside side to "play in wagon".  We have pulled him all over our neighborhood a million times in the last few weeks. 

The only thing he loves better than riding, is pulling it himself:)

I am loving this fall weather.  It makes "playing" so much more enjoyable.  I'm just so thankful that I can be at home and "play" with this sweet little guy all the time.  As hard as it is right now, I know these days are precious!

Wacky Wednesday and The Dentist (again)

After our traumatic experience at the dentist the week before, I was SO sad when Evan told me his tooth was hurting Monday morning.  It looked so yucky!  Thankfully, we have connections at Dr. Bishop's office, so I texted this pic to Sherry.  A few hours later we had an antibiotic for another abscessed tooth, and an appointment to come in on Thursday morning.

In the mean time, Beau and I did a little Wal Mart shopping.  It is pretty much torture to go shopping with Beau right now.  He won't stay in the front seat, climbs into the back seat, and throws everything out of the cart.  So, I have started putting everything underneath.  That gets complicated when you buy anything that will slip through the rack.  So, anyway,  I was pretty desperate to get him to sit in the seat this day.  He started grabbing at a bag of marshmallows, and I decided it was well worth the $1 if he would just sit there and eat them.  It lasted about 2 minutes.  Then we moved on to a bag of puffy Cheetos.  Well, then he was thirsty so I had to break open the package of juice boxes.

We did manage to make it through the store at lightning speed with not too much trouble.  But, the check-out lady gave me some really weird looks as she rang up my opened, and half eaten stuff.  She wasn't too impressed.  At all.

Whitney got a 4-wheeler for her birthday, and Beau is in LOVE!!!  Thankfully, he is getting his own for his birthday in a few weeks!!  He looks so manly on the hot pink 4-wheeler:)

 Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday at East Pointe and Ev went all out! 

He couldn't wait to get that pink in his hair.

I had specific instructions to make a pink stripe all the way down!

This was at church on Wednesday night.  When I look at this it just kinda leaves me speechless:)

On Thursday we went back to the dentist.  I was SO nervous, and so was Ev.  Thankfully, they started giving him nitrous before he even saw Dr. Bishop.  He did SO good!!!  He told me later that he could hardly stay awake, but he wasn't sure he it was okay to fall asleep, so he just closed his eyes for a while:)

He ended up having something like a baby root canal.  I don't even pretend to know anything about teeth, but I know I don't ever want it done to me!!

Here he was right afterwards.  Totally numb on one side! (By the way, it was pajama day at school).

So glad to have this day over with!!!

The "2" Year Olds!!!

We had a "2" birthday party for Whitney, Hayden, and Beau this week.  It is SO nice to have friends who are experiencing the same things I am right now.  Beau is still a couple of weeks away from 2, and I'm kind of going crazy a lot of days.  It's nice to be with other 2 year olds and their moms to know that I am not alone!!

This picture just cracks me up!!  Lots of activity in this space!

They all played so good.  They would play together, and then just play beside each other:)  Either is great with me!!

It took a while for Morgan to warm up.  Sometimes I dream about a child that needs to "warm up".  Ha!

Sweet Dexter!!  He is also 2 and such a sweet friend.  Love his momma too!

Whit got a little overwhelmed.  I don't think she liked how everyone came in and "took over" her toy room!

The real reason they all came.  Cupcakes!!

Amy had this great idea and made "2"s for the birthday kids to hold in a picture.  At this point Beau had already thrown his, and Whitney was having NO part in it.  Oh well, you adapt with 2 year olds.  Right?

The mommas!  Mischelle had already left to head back to work at this point.  I really do love these girls!!  They are keeping me sane during a pretty tough parenting "moment'.

Cotillion Masquerade Ball

This month's Cotillion event was a Masquerade Ball.  All the students had to wear a costume with a mask.  Blake decided to be Phantom of the Opera.

The girls all looked SO beautiful!!

 Sarah Beth was Cinderella, and she was just beautiful!  You can't really tell in the picture, but her hair was perfect!

Blake dancing the waltz.  Because there are so many more girls than boys, most of the boys had 3 partners during the partner dance:)

They also did the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle.  Blake could totally do them both!  I was very impressed.  They haven't even practiced the Cupid Shuffle since last year and he jumped right in and did it the very first time!

These boys are something else...Mason (aka The Hamburglar), Blake (Phantom), Dane (grey wolf), and Parker (Phantom).

This was a fun one!  The costumes and masks were so fun to look at.  There was a contest and Mason won first place for his costume!  It was pretty great!

Next month is the dinner/dance.  I hope MANY table manners are taught and learned!!

Blake's Family Party!

On Sunday afternoon we had Blake's family birthday party.  He had lots of family here...Mom, Dad, Evan, Beau, NaNa, PaPa, Nonnie, Poppy, Granny, GaGa, Kyle, Amy, Georgia, Trisha, Jody, and Malory!!

He had fun opening lots of presents.  He got every single thing on his list, plus more!

I was so happy that GaGa and Granny were able to be here.  Neither of them have been feeling very well lately, and so I was thankful to see them both!!

Beau and Georgia kept everyone entertained while Blake was busy opening!  Who knew, but cards that play songs will entertain Beau for a VERY long time!!

This present was a big surprise!  He got a real telescope from Nonnie and Poppy.  He has wanted one and talked about it alot, but I don't think he ever thought he would really get his own.  It is gonna be pretty awesome!  He also got two books to read about "telescope stuff" and he has already finished one of them:)

Blake requested that I make him a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.  So, that is what he got!!  Yummy Yum!!

Later in the evening, Blake got his telescope out and started trying to figure it out.  It is VERY complicated, with all kinds of computer controls and stuff.  It is totally out of my league.  I'm glad he gets it and his Poppy said he will help him too!

Out of the driveway trying it out for the first time.  He had some technical difficulties, and apparently it has been very cloudy, so he hasn't really seen anything yet.

Before he went to bed Sunday night he had both his new Legos put together!

I'm glad that he had such a good birthday weekend!!  It was so fun, and now I have to get busy planning two more in a few weeks!!
