Lazy Beach Days...

We spent a lot of time just being lazy this time around!  Beau was better this week, than he has ever been in his whole life!  He was just so fun and so well-behaved.

Here are Nonnie, Georgia, and Beau just hanging out in the PJ's.  Beau loved this little table.  It was just perfect for him to "sit" on.

 This was Georgia's first trip to the pool.  She loved it, of course!

 This pool was so much fun for Beau. He could walk in as far as he wanted, and then just walk back out.

 This was our FAVORITE part!!!  The lazy river!!  We floated for hours and hours...Beau would just sit in someone's lap and be so content.  We had to work hard to keep him awake!

 Blake LOVES crab legs.  So, this night we shared a big dinner.  He ate the crab legs and I ate the shrimp!

Finally there!!

We headed out of Hattiesburg early Saturday morning.  Beau Beau did SO good! 

Of course, every trip is better with a Route 44 Diet Vanilla Coke!!

 Since he is still rear-facing, he can't see the DVD player in the car.  This hasn't been an issue because he has never been interested.  But, I decided for this trip, he had to be interested!  So, we rigged my parent's portable DVD player up to his seat (thanks Mom for the engineering) and he FINALLY decded he would watch a "moo-fee".  He only likes Veggie Tales-Silly Songs with Larry, so we all know it by heart!  We watched that 30 minute DVD about 25 times on this trip!

 Our condo was amazing!!  I didn't take any pics at all of the inside, but it was gorgeous.  This building also had a zero-entry pool, lazy river, and water slide.  It was SO perfect and SO fun!!!

Beach Bound!!!

We headed out for our annual week at the beach on Friday August 5 bright and early!!!  This was our 12th annual beach trip.  We started going the year Blake was born, and have been every year since!  This year our family of 5 went, plus Nonnie, Poppy, Kyle, Amy, and Georgia.  We divided up for the trip down and mom rode with us.

We decided to make a stop at Graceland in Memphis to break our trip up a little bit!  Travis was the only one of us that had every been, and he was just a kid, so we decided to go for it.

We got to Graceland around 11:00 and it was POURING rain!!  We hadn't seen rain in weeks, but boy did we see it this day!!  I didn't do a good job of taking pictures, at all.

 This was Elvis's "media" room.  Ha!!  Times have certainly changed!  We couldn't take Beau's stroller in the mansion, so we had to carry him.  So, no real pics at all!

 After we got our fill of Graceland, we loaded back up to head to Hattiesburg.  Beau0 really enjoyed some snack (I can't even remember what it was now).

 We got there and I realized that I hadn't packed any PJ's for Beau.  So, we went to Wal-Mart and had to buy what they had.  He always wears zip-up 1 piece PJ's (for lots of practical reasons:), so I thought he looked SO grown up in these. 

This was by far, our best night in a hotel with Beau at this pointe in his little life.  Mom and the big boys stayed in 1 room, and Travis, Beau, and I stayed in another.  I decided not to even attempt the pack & play.  He just slept in the bed with me, for the first time in his life!  He did really well, except that he was a total bed hog.  Travis slept in the other bed and got a good night's sleep!

We got up early the next morning, and by that point Dad, Kyle, Amy, and Georgia, who had been driving all night, caught up with us.  We all loaded up and headed for the beach!!

Beau...Seriously??

Update: Travis came home and told me I was totally disgusting to even blog this post.  So, I need to say that I did it for Beau's benefit:)  Someday, maybe 20 years from now, I hope he will pull out this blog book to read and get a BIG kick out of this!!

I heard Beau waking up this morning around 8:30.  Then, it was totally quiet again.  He sometimes will fall back to sleep for a little bit, so I just kept doing what I was doing and thought I was lucky.

Well, not so lucky.  About 9:00 I heard him laughing and talking, so I went in his room.  He looked up at me and said "Poopy"!!!! I new I was in trouble.  At first, it didn't seem so bad.  His pajamas were still on, just unzipped down the front.  The diaper was still on, also.

I got closer and knew the smell meant I was in trouble.  He looked at me, then looked at his fish, and said "Fish...poopy". 

WOW!  Just disgusting!!

So, I looked a little closer and there were "pieces" of poop everywhere.  He was just sticking his hand down his diaper and pulling it out.  So, he went straight to the tub.

I was bathing him and noticed that he sounded REALLY congested.  I mean, he sounded like he was holding his nose to talk, but he wasn't.  So, I grabbed some toilet paper and said "blow".  He's a really good nose blower, so he did. 

And I got this...

Yep, he had shoved a big ole piece of poop up his nose!  Nice.  I seriously had to fight back the waves of nausea as I made him finish blowing his nose and cleaned it out as best I could. Gross!!!!

So, needless to say, I have been scrubbing and sanitizing Beau's crib and the surroundning area today.  This little boy is gonna make me lose my mind!!!  Thank the LORD for MDO!!

First Day of School!!!

Yesterday was the first day of school!  Kinda bittersweet.  It seems like this summer has just flown by!  The big boys have been gone more than they have been home, I think.  But I'm SO thankful for great grandparents who have kept them SO well entertained all summer.

I was really worried that it would be hard to get them out of bed.  They haven't been to bed before 11:00 or up before 9:00 in MANY weeks.  But, the popped up and were ready to go.

 Evan is starting 3rd grade and Blake is starting 6th grade.  This is Evan's usual picture face.  He's just too tough to smile these days!

 I can't say just how much I LOVE living where we do.  The boys walked to school with their friends, and loved it.  The best part...I didn't have to get dressed, put on makeup, wake up Beau, or fight traffic!!!!

Beau started Mother's Day Out today!!!  He also did great.  I didn't get a picture because he had totally peed through his clothes by the time we got to school (I have NO idea what happened).  So, after I got him in, changed his diaper and clothes, and got ready to leave he was happy, and I didn't want to risk him crying over a picture.  So, maybe I will try again on Thursday!

He did SO good today.  He actually took a nap on a mat!!!  Seriously, I want to bring his teachers to live with us.  It must have been peer pressure:)  I am SO thankful for Mother's Day Out!!!!

Freebies!!

These are some free coupons that I have gotten in the mail in the last couple of weeks!  I LOVE a good mail day;)  I signed up for all of these through Facebook.  SO easy.  Usually you just have to "like" a page and then sign up for the freebie!  I find out about them from a couple of pages that I am friends with on facebook. 

These are SO easy and another way to lower my grocery bill!!!

Walgreens love!

This is one of those weeks that I spent more than usual, but I got a lot of things we really needed for cheap!  I just love weeks like this!!  I spent $46.15 out of pocket for the stuff below, and still have $9.50 in Register Rewards for later.

I managed to get:
4-12 packs of Cottonelle

1-6 pack Viva paper towels

2-Jumbo packs of Pampers

2-frozen bagged Lean Cuisine meals (YUMMY!!)

1-bottle of contact solution (FREE after Register Rewards)

2-boxes of Crayola washable markers (FREE after Register Rewards)

2-packs of hair clips (FREE after Register Rewards)

1-lip liner

4-bottles of Head and Shoulders shampoo/conditioner (my boys will use anything)

2-bottles of Pantene shampoo/conditioner

1-bottle Dawn dish liquid

This would have easily cost me $90 if I had gone to Wal-Mart to buy it.  And, we will absolutely use every single bit of this...soon.  Plus-I have $9.50 in Register Rewards to start next week's shopping with!!
