Headed to the Beach!!

 We headed out for Orange Beach on Friday August 3rd at 3:30am.  We decided we would go back to the driving in the night thing, in hopes of a better trip for Beau.  It totally worked!  We got really lucky and realized that the condo we were staying in for the week was open on Friday night also.  So, I negotiated a deal with the owner and we got an extra night at the beach for the same price stopping half way at a hotel would have cost!!

Here are my GOOD boys, staying busy in the car!

 The iPad was our saving grace for Beau.  He played on it for hours!!

 At one point it got really rainy, and Beau took a long nap.  Perfect!!

 We drove over this awesome bridge going over Mobile Bay.  It was pretty awesome!  (We skipped the tunnel).

 We got to our condo mid-afternoon on Friday.  We stayed at the Phoenix West again this year.  We love this condo so much because not only does it have awesome beach access, but it has a zero-entry pool, a lazy river, and a big waterslide.  It is SO awesome!!

 We had plenty of room.  Since Kyle and Amy and Georgia didn't get to go, Blake and Evan got their own bedroom with their own queen beds.  NO fighting!!

 We stayed in the master because we needed the extra space for Beau to sleep.  He slept on his little cot in the corner and did great!

 The first night we went to our traditional first meal place...The Crab Trap in Perdido.  It turned out to be the one and only BIG disappointment for the week.  So frustrating!!  But, the boys had fun playing while we waited.

After dinner mom and I went to Wal-Mart for the HUGE beach shopping trip.  We were really dragging, but managed to get it done.  We were so ready to hit the beach the next day!!
