Silver Dollar City

Saturday morning we got up, bundled up, and headed to Silver Dollar City. It was below 32 degrees, so most of the rides were closed, but we still had a GREAT day!! We never really got cold, believe it or not!!

Beau couldn't wait to ride the train, so that was one of the first things we did.

We rode the carousel several times, rode the Flooded Mine Ride, Fire in the Hole, and watched the Christmas Saloon show.

Dad, the big boys, and I walked through Grandfather's Mansion. I remember it from when I was a kid. Pretty cool!! You feel like you are standing up straight, but obviously not:)

Beau Beau stayed bundled up!! We forgot his stroller, so we had to rent one. He actually really liked the stroller because he could hop in and out easily by himself!

After we left, we headed to Florentina's for dinner. It's our favorite Italian place and we go every time we are in Branson. Then we had to drive through Andy's for some dessert:). We were back at the condo by 6:30 and had a very enjoyable, lazy evening. Lots of Mancala was played and lots of Duck Dynasty was watched!!

The next day we got up and did it all over again!! The Scogins came up and since we had several extra tickets, we were able to get Nonnie and Poppy back in and the Scogins only had to buy 1 ticket. It was about 10 degrees warmer and all the rides were running. It was SO fun to have friends to ride rides with!

Beau, Whitney, Courtney, and Lindsey rode the kiddie rides together. Nonnie rode the Froggies with Beau! He was so sad the Froggies were "broken" on Saturday, so he was thrilled when they were "fixed" on Sunday!

Dad, the big boys, and I rode Wildfire and for some reason, it was WAY better than usual to me. I was kinda dreading riding it in the cold, but it was totally awesome! The big boys and Travis and mom and dad rode Thunderation probably 10 times total. I didn't ride it because it is really rough to me and my back has been bothering me.Maybe next time:)

Another GREAT day at SDC!!! Can't wait until next year!!

Branson

The Friday after Christmas we headed to Branson for the weekend. It was super cold, but we decided to brave it!!

We got there around noon, and after having some awesome lunch at a little hole in the wall Mexican place, we headed to The Track. The boys were determined they were going to ride go-carts.

So, as the snow flurries came down, the big boys rode Wild Woody. Sweet Beau wanted to ride too, so we compromised and he rode this little boat ride:)

The boys had a blast on the go-carts. It really wouldn't have been that bad, but we just weren't bundled up at all!

We went and checked in to the condo and waited for Nonnie and Poppy to get there. They had to take Kyle, Amy, and Georgia to the XNA airport on their way. The condo we stay in is awesome!! The people that own it have grand kids and there is always a big basket of toys to play with!!

At the Stampede!! One of Evan's "lifelong dreams" was to go to the Dixie Stampede Christmas show again. Ha!! Beau LOVED the horses!!!

We had GREAT seats. Mom wasn't sure when she ordered them, but they turned out to be perfect. Everyone had a great time. The food was great and they show was amazing! Beau sat in my lap and was so good! He loved every minute of the show.

We even bought the picture!! It was a great picture and we had such a good time we wanted to remember it!!

If you haven't ever been to the Dixie Stampede, I highly recommend it. A great family show!! Thanks Nonnie & Poppy for a great show!!

Georgia Leigh:)

We got a some good cousin time in with Georgia while they were here. Beau wanted to play with Georgia SO bad. Georgia isn't used to playing with such rowdy boys:)

At one point Georgia tried to put her bow in Evan's hair. So cute!

And of course, Evan played right along and wore her bow for quite a while!

Kyle, Amy, and Georgia were supposed to fly out of Little Rock on Thursday, but while they were on their way to the airport they got a call that their flight had been cancelled. They had to re-book a flight out of NWA the next day so they turned around and came back:) Kyle and Amy went to a movie that night, and mom, dad, Georgia, and Judy came over to our house for dinner. After dinner Beau wanted to "take a tub" and we decided it would be easier to just throw Georgia in with him here then having to unpack all her stuff at mom and dad's.

So, after the tubby Georgia borrowed some pj's and headed back to Nonnie & Poppy's. We were very sad to see them go:( After a VERY long day of flying the next day they finally made it home to Cheyenne after midnight on Friday. Glad they made it safely!!

Christmas Snow!!!

We had the most beautiful Christmas snow this year!!! We got up first thing the day after Christmas and bundled up to go out and play. The boys were ready!!!
