Jason Aldean

 This past Friday night Travis and I went to Tulsa with Ryan and Sharon to go to a Jason Aldean concert.  We had SO much fun!!! I'm no country girl, but you just can't beat a good country concert!!

The weather was perfect, so we hung out in Tulsa downtown before the concert started.  Sharon and I are famous for our self-pics;)  Ready to go!!

 We found an 80's Retro Pub to eat at before the concert.  It was awesome!!  There were 80's arcade games everywhere.  Ryan got in some serious arcade time!

 The bathroom walls were plastered with magazine pages from the 80's.  It was so fun to read the walls!!

 Actually getting our food turned out to be a major ordeal.  But, it turned out really yummy!  After we ate we walked on over to the BOK Center.  We had great seats.  They were handicapped so we had lots of room and were right on an exit:)

 Travis and I...again:)  I didn't take any pics of the stage??  What was I thinking??  But, it was a really great concert.  Sharon and I have decided that if we go to anymore country concerts we MUST invest in some cowboy boots! Ha!!  Even if we don't ride horses....HAHAHA!!

 The next day Sharon and Ryan had to get back for an early softball game.  So, Travis and I had a little lunch date.

 We had lunch on the patio at the Cheesecake Factory and did a little shopping before heading home!

 A perfect get-away with good friends!!  So thankful for them!!!  We have done more together since they moved away than we did when they lived right down the street.  Definitely lifelong friends for sure!

Around here...

 What's been going on lately??  Well, we've spent some time at Nana and Papa's house.  Malory and Evan decided to dig for worms??

 The boys were out of school one Monday, so dad took them shooting.  They had an arsenal packed up to go!! :)

 I'm doing an Advocare 24 day challenge.  During the cleanse part you have to drink a fiber drink.  Talk about DISGUSTING!!!

 Evan and Avery brought a snake home from school and brought it IN THE HOUSE to show me!!??  They were supposed to let it go in the woods for Mr. Parker and thought they should show me first!

 Sherry and I "went to town" one day and stopped at Sams.  We can do a lot of damage in about 30 minutes:)

 Sweet Whitney broke her arm:((((  So pitiful.

 One Sunday morning Savannah brought our Life Group a cake that she had made.  It had blue icing and the girls looked hilarious with their blue lips and teeth!

And, that's what has been going on around here lately....

Baseball....

 We actually played baseball in a tournament in Greenwood!!  Yay!  It was very nice being in town:)

As usual, Evan had quite a fan club there to watch.  Beau enjoyed the playground and some Gatorade!

 Beau, Malory, and Austin playing between games.  A couple of yours after this Beau totally fell apart.  He ended up burning up with fever so Nonnie took him home.  After a long night of 103-104 temp we went to the doctor the next morning and he had strep throat;((

Evan's team had a banner made to put on the dugout.  It's pretty awesome!

It got pretty chilly Sunday afternoon, but Dora kept Trisha and Alan nice and warm.  Ha!!

Trap Shooting Competition!

 The Regional Trap Shooting Competition was May 3 in Lonoke.  We all got up bright and early and headed down.  It was FREEZING cold!!  We wore thermals, gloves, coats, and scarves and were still cold!!  Unbelievably crazy May weather. 

 Blake...ready to go!!  It started to pour down rain just as his squad walked up to start shooting!

 He shot a 15 (not bad for the conditions) and his team total was 80.

They ALMOST made it to state!  The cut-off was 80 and 3 teams shot an 80.  The deciding factor was the highest single shooter score.  One boy on Blake's squad shot 22 and one of the other teams had a shooter hit 23.  So, they missed it by 1 shot!!  Oh well, next year!!!  Good job boys!

Kuk Sool Won ~ St. Louis

 We spent most of the day Saturday at the Kuk Sool Won tournament.  It was a VERY big tournament so it took a while.  I was VERY glad that Beau wasn't with us!!

Here are all the kids from the Greenwood school before the tournament.

 This was a view of the gym from our seats.  There were 12 rings going at the same time all day long.

 Blake did amazing!!  I thought he looked the very best doing his form.

 His first medal was 2nd place for forms.  Good job Blaker!!

 He did techniques next.  Kinda tough because his partner was also competing at the same time, so he had to grab someone else at the last minute.  Harder to do techniques with someone you haven't been practicing with.  He still looked good and got a 3rd place medal.

 He might have grown a little since last year;)  His pants were on the short-ish side!

 We totally missed getting a picture of him with his staff.  It's a big long stick that you "twirl" around.  He did great seeing how he only learned the "routine" (my word, not his) the week before.

His favorite part is sparring.  It's basically fighting with a lot of pads on.  He totally rocked it and won another 2nd place medal!!!\

 That's a lot of well-deserved BLING!!

 And....the crew afterwards.  Every single kid from Greenwood won at least 1 medal.  That's VERY impressive and says a lot about the Kuk Sool Won of Greenwood school. 

 

Afterwards we all headed downtown to eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory.  It was excellent, and we all enjoyed relaxing with good friends.  The kid table was a little crazy!! 

 

We had a really great weekend!  It's really nice to get to do some special things with the big boys!! Thanks Nana and Papa for keeping Beau for us!!!
