Vegas ~ The End

After our trip to Pawn Stars we got back on the bus and headed back to the hotel.  We wanted to go somewhere special for dinner but just couldn't make up our mind.  Travis had really wanted to go to Lawry's but by this point it was 6:30 and we figured it was too late to get reservations.  We called anyway, and we were able to get a reservation for 7:30.  Woo Hoo!!

We got ready quickly and headed downstairs and caught a cab.  We got there in plenty of time.  It was an absolutely AMAZING dinner!!!  We both had prime rib and it was the best I have ever tasted!!  Such a fun, romantic place.  They had asked Travis when he made the reservation if we were celebrating anything and he had said yes, our anniversary.  So, after dinner the waitress brought us this sweet dessert that said "Happy Anniversary".  It was very sweet.  This was one of those splurge meals that doesn't happen very often, but that just makes it even better when you do.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!
After dinner we decided that since we already had bus tickets, we should catch a bus back downtown to see everything lit up at night.  Sounded like a good idea at the time.  But, our flight was leaving the airport at 6:30 the next morning, which meant we had to be at the airport at 4:30.

We took cab back to the strip and caught the bus from there.  It took us a LONG time on the bus that night because it was PACKED and people were getting on and off at EVERY stop.  We finally got there and it was pretty amazing!!

Oops, out of order, but we saw the volcano go off at the Mirage while we waited at the bus stop!

Downtown truly was amazing at night.  There were so many lights it felt like daytime.
So pretty, and again, the atmosphere was so much different.  Not such a party crowd, just people out having fun.  Lots more families and older people too. (I think we might have fit in that category:)
 A picture of us downtown.
This was hilarious!!  Pee Wee Herman!!!  It looked just like him, right down to his voice and his red bicycle.  Only in Vegas...
We decided we were ready to head back about 10:30.  Well, unfortunately for us, they close off all the streets downtown for about an hour around that time for a light show.  That means the buses can't get through.  So, we didn't get on a bus until about 11:30.  We finally got back to the hotel about 12:00.  By the time we showered, packed, and got ready for the morning it was almost 1:30.

Our alarm went off at 3:30, so needless to say, we were pretty cranky:)  We took a cab to the airport and got all checked in.  Then we found a Cinnabon place and had some breakfast.  By the time we got on the plane, we were both dying.  I was asleep before the plane took off, and slept off and on the whole flight back.  By the time we landed at XNA I was feeling a little better!

Trisha picked us up and we headed to see Beau!!!  I was SO glad to see him.  He had a wonderful time with his NaNa, PaPa, Malory, and Trisha.  He didn't even want to come to me when we got there.  He might have been a little spoiled, but I'm SO thankful for grandparents that want to spend time with him!!!  It was his first time away from us for more than a night and he did great.  Fair warning grandparents...we will be taking advantage of this MUCH more often:)

It was an amazing trip.  I am SO thankful for the opportunity to get away with Travis.  It almost felt like our honeymoon again.  That was really the last time we have been away together without kids!  I can't WAIT to do it again!!!!
