We had a SUPER fun, super busy Thanksgiving weekend! We started the day going over to Tad & Jayme's house for a BIG family Thanksgiving dinner. I was busy getting ready and walked into the living room and saw this.....
Does anyone see anything wrong with this pic??? :)
Then after he got the whole nativity scene all back where it was supposed to be on the shelf it looked like this...
I have a feeling we will all laugh really hard about this for a long time!!
This was the first time in maybe forever, that every single person on Travis's side of the family was together for Thanksgiving (or any time for that matter). It was Granny's wish and mission to have everyone together this year and we managed to pull it off!! I think there were around 35 people there for dinner.
A pic of one of the kids tables. Beau thought he was SO big sitting there like a big boy!
Thursday evening Trisha, Becky, and I headed to Wal-Mart for some Black Friday shopping. We did awesome and got almost everything we wanted...plus a whole lot more. We were back in the car at 8:45 headed home. Perfect!
We got up Friday morning and headed to Fayetteville for the Razorback game. My sweet friend Amy gave us 2 tickets, and then Nana and Papa ended up having 2 extra tickets, so we all got to go!! Beau stayed home with Aunt Trisha and Malory. I had such a great time! It was only the 2nd game I have been to since I graduated from the U of A 15 years ago!!
At half time we went up to see the boys in the indoor box with Nana and Papa. We warmed up fast!
Me and my Ev!
Blake and Nana...
Loved this...Evan concentrating hard on the game!
Papa and Evan after the game.
We went to the Rib Crib for supper. Yummy!!
Saturday morning we got up and headed to Branson to go to Silver Dollar City. It was the perfect day and we had a blast!! Beau was SO good!! He loved all the Santas...
Travis was such a good sport and rode the Froggies with Beau. He LOVES that ride!
Beau was tall enough this time to ride the "catterpillars" all by himself. He was SO proud of himself. It's nice to have big boys now that can do a few things by themselves. While Beau was riding his rides we let them walk over and do the big swings and pirate ship by themselves.
I rode Power Keg and Wildfire with Blake and Evan the first time. Then they went back and rode Wildfire several more times by themselves:)
Travis and Beau watched us ride Wildfire from the observation deck.
Beau loved the carousel!! He was nervous at first so Evan hopped on and rode with us to show him it wasn't scary:)
Sweet boy!
So much fun!!
We all rode the flooded mine together. It's a good ride for everyone! We also rode the train. Beau wouldn't stop talking about it, so we finally gave in and got in the crazy long line. We ended up only having to wait about 20 minutes and they have changed it around for Christmas. Now it is the story of Jesus' birth. We all really enjoyed it!
When it got dark we really loved just walking around looking at lights. The big Christmas tree is so cool!!
Beau fell asleep about the time it got dark, so he missed most of the lights:(
SO, so, pretty!
My sweet crew before we left.
After we left, we checked into the hotel and went to eat our our favorite restaurant...Florentinas. After that we HAD to stop at Krispy Kreme for a hot donut!
We had such a great weekend! The hotel stay was actually pleasant. We took Beau's little cot and he passed out before the rest of us were even in bed and slept all night. THAT is a success!!
Sunday morning we got up and shopped some at the Tanger Outlet and had lunch at Freddy's. Then we headed home. The sun was really bright, so Evan rigged up Beau's blanket to block the sun:)
After this weekend, I'm really looking forward to more weekend getaways with my sweet fam!!
