Pumpkin Carvin'

FYI:  This is my 3rd post today!!  Scroll down to see all that is going on!!!

Tonight we carved THE pumpkin.  The boys have both been drawing "sketches" of what they thought it should look like for days.  So, we decided that everyone would get to design one part of the pumpkin.  Blake and Evan each designed 1 eye, I got to decided on the nose, and Travis did the mouth.  Here they are working on the sketches...(only an architect and his sons would draw plans for the pumpkin :)

We had so much fun tonight doing this project together.  The boys are finally old enough to really help and not just watch.  Now we are looking forward to tomorrow...the combined family birthday party for the boys and trick or treating!!  Woo Hoo!!  (Then...a baby would be nice)!!!

It's Official!!!

We've FINALLY committed!  The baby's name is Beau!!!  I'm SO excited to finally be able to call him by his real name.  Now, the other two middle names are still very much up in the air, but I'm totally okay with that.  This is the first time that I've gotten to have anything made with a name on it before the baby was born.  I ordered these adorable burp clothes off of Ebay and they came today!!

Westwood 1st Grade PTO Program

Last night was the big 1st grade Halloween music program!  I have been looking forward to it, because I have been listening to Evan and Peyton practice in the car after school for weeks.  Evan's class got to where any costume they wanted.  Evan decided to wear our King Peter costume from Narnia.  He looked so stinkin' cute, but of course would NOT smile for me for a picture.  I tried several times...

Random Cuteness...

Some pictures of some random cute things that have happened lately around here...This was "cowboy" day at Westwood.  Of course, Evan had to be totally tough and Peyton is quite the poser:)

The other day on the way home from school Evan got grounded.  When we got home he had to go straight to his room.  About 30 minutes later he flew this paper airplane into my room.  It says "How long am I grounded please write back".  Ha!  I wrote 1 hour on it and flew it back...

The next afternoon I was supposed to take Blake and Mason to 1st Tee, but Jeb ended up taking them instead.  Apparently Evan was really upset by this because this is the note I got a few minutes after they left.  It says "You said you were going to take them to First Tee you lied".  The part of the top says "turn to back".  Pretty cute:)  I love how he writes everything just how it sounds...

This little display is from this afternoon.  When we got home from school Evan asked if he could make some lemonade.  I told him yes.  He's actually a really good Kool Aid maker!  So, he called me into the kitchen and asked if I would like some lemonade.  It only costs $.50!  Ha!   I love the "money box" he made and the gravy ladel he was using to "serve" the Kool Aid!

On another note, I am 38 weeks today!  And, I have never been more miserable:(  It hurts to do anything.  Even just standing up hurts.  My back, hips, legs, and butt all hurt constantly.  The only thing that is comfortable is lying on my side on my bed.  Unfortunately, we are just WAY too busy for that to happen for long.  We're off to the 1st grade music program at the PAC tonight.  It's POURING rain, so it is going to be very pleasant for everyone!!!

Happy Birthday MaMaw!!

Happy 85th Birthday MaMaw!!!

Today is my MaMaw's 85th birthday!  I met my dad at Pink Bud to sit with her while she had lunch today.  Apparently she had been in a BAD mood before I got there, but dad had her cheered up pretty quick.  After lunch we took her back down to her room to try out the gift we brought her:  A PINK Snuggie, of course!!  We kept trying to explain to her that it was a blanket with arm holes, and she just didn't get it.  After we put it on her, she looked down, raised her hand around, and said "Well look, it's got a hole".  I'm not totally convinced she got the concept, but the ladies that work there were all pretty excited, so I'm sure they will put it on her for her afternoon naps in her recliner.  Here she is modeling her Snuggie...

MaMaw is having a hard time believing that I haven't had this baby yet.  She just kept touching my tummy and shaking her head :)

I was SO glad to get to spend some time with MaMaw today.  She is such a special lady and I love her so much.  She is SO funny sometimes and seeing her with my dad is so sweet.  She loves him so much she can't stand it.  Sometimes she has interesting ways of showing it, but in the end we know she loves him best!!  I hope my boys are learning something by watching how my dad takes care of MaMaw.  Someday....it will be there turn:)

Birthday's Day 2!!

On Saturday we had a combined "friend" party for Blake and Evan.  It's a little early for Evan (his birthday is Nov. 15), but we figured, better early than not at all.  If we're having a baby the weekend of his birthday, there probably won't be a party happenin'!  So, they each invited 3 friends for this extravaganza!  Here they are with their cake!  First time they have ever shared a cake, and they kinda liked it!  Of course, it is Star Wars.  We live, sleep, and breathe Star Wars around here lately.

After they opened presents and we had cake, we loaded up and headed to Chuck E Cheese.  Here are Blake, Garrett, and Evan obsessed with some game.

Next, we went next door to the Malco to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs".  Of course, they chose the FRONT row.  Not the best view for a 3-D movie, but it didn't seem to bother them at all.

Travis was such a good sport!  He sat through the whole movie, while the Razorbacks were playing Florida.  He only checked the score on his phone every 3 minutes or so :)...

I have to say that this was one of the funnest, and easiest parties we have ever had.  The kids were so good and I really didn't have to do much of anything besides keep up with them.  Blake and Evan loved it and NOW IT'S OVER for a whole year!!!

Happy 10th Birthday Blake!!!

Last Thursday was Blake's 10th birthday!! Wow, it's so hard to believe that my baby is 10 years old. It was such a fun day. We gave him the choice, and he decided he wanted to go to La Fiesta for lunch. So, I checked him out of school and we met Travis and Poppy there. Poppy brought balloons and cookies! Here is the birthday boy!!

We were home for about 45 minutes and Blake had his new Lego finished!

Thursday night we had birthday dinner. Blake wanted to have "pea" pie and apple pie. It was pretty tasty! He loved it! Then he got to open his other gifts from Travis and I. He also got a 1 gift from Nonnie and Poppy and 1 gift from NaNa and PaPa. Here he is opening a Wii fishing game from NaNa and PaPa!!

Blake has to dress up as a Pharoh for a project in GT at school. So, he decided he would be a Pharoh for Halloween also. So, we deicided to get a pretty cool costume. Here he is modeling the head piece!

Here is the balloon that Evan decorated for Blake and hung from the light fixture with Scotch tape:) It has 3 sheets of stickers on it!!

We had a great time celebrating, but it was just the beginning. We had a combined"friend" birthday party for Blake and Evan on Saturday (pics to come) and then they are having a combined "family" party on Oct 31. Since we don't know just when the baby will be arriving, we decided it was better to celebrate early and make sure they all happened!! Hopefully we will get all our celebrating in BEFORE the baby comes!!
