Student of the Month!!

My sweet Evan got Student of the Month and we went to the celebration breakfast at East Pointe on Tuesday morning.  We are SO very proud of him.  His teacher says that he is a smart, sweet leader.  Music to my ears!!

We all got to enjoy the yummy biscuit, sausage patty, and gravy!  Delish :)

 Evan has been making it a point lately NOT to smile in ANY pictures.  Today was NO different!

It's mornings like this that make me so happy to be a mom. I love you Evan and am SO proud of you!!! 

Beau~10 month Pictures!

I just realized that I never blogged about these precious pictures!!  My friend Julie made them of Beau and I LOVE them!!  She was coming down to make pictures of Whitney and I asked her if I could crash the party and bring Beau also.  She was so sweet to say yes and I think she totally captured him perfectly.

 Well, maybe just this...we have a picture of Travis's dad wearing this suit in an Olan Mills family pic when Travis was a baby!!  Funny stuff.

This suit is the top pick so far for Blake's Halloween costume!!!

Soccer!!

We started something brand new on Saturday:  SOCCER!!  Both boys decided that they wanted to try soccer this year.  We knew absolutely nothing about it until now.  Just an example of how clueless I was...I had to return 4 sets of shin guards and 1 soccer ball at Academy because I just couldn't get the right size, style...Kinda embarressing!

They both played 2 games on Saturday, but they overlapped, so I didn't get to see all of either of their games.  I watched some of Blake's first game and he looked really good.  I think we may have finally found Blake's game!  He was right in the middle of the play and was pretty aggressive (for Blake).  His team lost both games, but he really enjoyed it!!  I forgot to get my camera out until the very end of Evan's last game.

 Evan's team in action.  His team is called the Green Smashers:)  Evan LOVED playing.  His team scored a total of 6 goals in 2 games and Evan scored 4 of them!!  Great game Ev!!!

"The" Project

Last week Sharon had this great idea that we could do a little, easy, crafty project.  Sherry and I were all about it, so we got the supplies together and met at my house.  We thought it would take us an hour or so.  Ha Ha!!!

It turned out to be a pretty lengthy project!!  Here we were being very optimistic at the beginning of the project:)

 We started spray painting our pots.  Turns out, those pots suck up the paint!!  Five cans of spray paint and 2 days later...the pots were finally painted!!!  Seriously.

 We did have 2 super cute helpers watching from the front door!!

 To make a long story short, I finished up the "gluing together part" of the project and the fninshed product turned out pretty darn cute!!!  I finished them up on Sunday.  We enjoyed it for almost 2 whole days and then this happened tonight...(scroll down)

 Yep, my sweet little project is sadly broken all over the floor.  Evan decided he would jump up on top of the cabinet and knocked it over!!

 Candy corns and glass EVERYWHERE!!!  Oh well, it was sweet while it lasted...

Maybe I'll just make another...or maybe not.

Getting Ready...

This is what happens every morning in my bathroom while I get ready!  Beau has discovered the drawers and drags EVERYTHING out of them while I'm.  Then he crawls in the shower and throws all the bottles in the floor.  Next he unrolls all the toilet paper.  We've learned to keep the toilet lid down our he will stick his hands in the water, too!

I guess I should just break down and take all my "stuff" out of the bottom drawers.  But, I just don't have anywhere else to put it.  So, I just keep suffering the wrath of curious Beau every morning!  Little stinker :)
