Beth Moore Weekend

This past weekend I got the chance to go to a live Beth Moore event in Little Rock.  It was MAJOR drama getting childcare set up, but thanks to some WONDERFUL friends (Gabby, Melissa, Sherry, and Poppy) I was able to go!

I went with Dottie and Amy and we had a blast!!  We made it to Little Rock in time to do some shopping, which I thoroughly enojoyed.  Shopping baby-less is a completly different experience than shopping with baby:)

We had a great session on Friday night.  Beth is even more fun to listen to in person!!  She is really just really funny!  Here we are enjoying ourselves!!
We left Verizon Arena around 9:45 and got to the car, loaded up, and headed out.  About 1/2 block down the road Dottie said that something didn't feel right.  We stopped and looked and we had a FLAT!!  Seriously, in the worst part of Little Rock on a Friday night!  We started making phone calls and finally got roadside assistance.  They told us it would be about 30 min. so we decided to drive another 1/2 block to get to a McDonalds parking lot.

Let's just say, that it wasn't quite the same as Greenwood McDonalds:).  We ran into a super-creepy guy in McDonalds and debated about even going back to the car.  But, we had to be there when the fix-it guy showed up, so we went back out.  There was another creepy guy patrolling the parking lot.

Thankfully, the fix-it guy was really nice, and really "normal" looking.  Becuase, creepy guy hovered over him the whole time he was fixing the tire.  Here is a little pic of fix-it guy on the left and creepy guy on the right!
We finally got back on the road and to the hotel about 12:00.  Long, but fun day!!!  The next morning was more of Beth.  We had really good seats and could see great!  The music was probably my favorite part of the event!  Travis Cottrell and his praise team led worship.  Really great!!
It was SO nice to get away!  Even for just a little over 24 hours.  It's crazy how much more you love your kids after a few hours away!!  I'm very thankful for a chance to do things like this!  Thanks Travis for encouraging me to go.  It was just what i needed!
