Cancun Part 3

 Another beautiful day at the beach!!  I really didn't think there was any chance I would be up early enough to eat breakfast on this trip.  I had dreams of sleeping in LATE!  But, since we were usually in bed by 10:00 or 10:30 (so not normal for us) I was awake around 8:00 every morning and felt great!  So, we ate breakfast:)  And it was yummy!!  Travis's dream come true....a made to order omlette bar!

 I love this pic, because of the guy in the background.  So funny!  There were SO many foreigners there.  It got to be our game, to guess who was a foreigner or not:)  And, they all wore Speedos or thong swims suits.  Unbelievable.  Sharon and I felt WAY overdressed most of the time!

 Thursday was Valentine's Day.  So, they had a big balloon heart in the front of the buffet.  We didn't eat there, but decided to get a pic for memory's sake.

 It was SO yummy and the service was amazing!  Best broccoli soup with gorgonzolla cheese ever!!

Cancun Part 2

We spent a lot of time just like this!  We called it the "U".  It was like a big couch sectional.  Sharon, the early bird, would go down and put towels on one of them for us, and after breakfast we would get comfy for the day:) 

Travis and Ryan both napped great!  I couldn't ever actually fall asleep, but I enjoyed the comfy view!

One of the best meals we had was at the oriental restaurant.  Sharon and Ryan both hate Chinese, but this was more along the lines of Fuji.  I LOVED it!!  It was an absolutely beautiful restaurant.  We had a little trouble getting over the "Mexican" waitress dressed as an "Oriental".  It was pretty funny!!

This was an absolutely beautiful rooftop hang out spot.  The times we went up there we were the only ones there.  Probably because it was kinda windy, but still a really cool spot to hang out.

Cancun Part 1

 Travis and I booked a trip to Cancun with Ryan and Sharon back in November, so we had been looking forward to it for a while!!!  Well, the time finally got here!  

But first, we had to get everyone situated!  The big boys stayed with Nonnie and Poppy and Beau stayed with Nana and Papa.  

It was tough to say goodbye to these sweeties!!

 The pre-trip pedicure.  Let's just say this sweet girl earned her money.  I hadn't had a "real" pedicure in months.  It was so hard for me, because she was great and did a lot of massaging and scrubbing, but my feet are SO ticklish.  I was practically in tears!  But, so worth it!!

 We headed up to NWA on Monday night and got Beau settled at Nana and Papa's house.  Ryan and Sharon picked us up bright and early at 5:00 Tuesday morning!!  We were SO excited!!

 It was double great.....a vacation with my sweetheart and my best friend!!!

 We got to Cancun around 11:30.  It was a super easy trip.  We did have to jog through the Houston airport to make our connecting flight!  We got to our resort, Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe, around 12:15.  We couldn't get in our room yet, but we checked in and got our all-inclusive bracelets so we could eat.  The food was great!  I'm not a huge buffet fan, but we really only ate the buffet at lunch and breakfast if we wanted.  

Our room was AMAZING!!!  It was huge and had 2 balconies that looked straight out on the ocean.

 I could have just stayed in the room and be happy, but we didn't:)  We actually were only in the room in the late evenings to sleep.

 The water was fairly cool, so we mostly just walked along the beach and got our feet wet.

King & Queen of Hearts Ball

 February 9 was the Cotillion King & Queen of Hearts Ball.  It's always SO fun to see everyone all dressed up!  

Dane & Blake

 The 3 most handsome 7th graders there...Dane, Mason, and Blake!!

 We didn't get notified, so I had no idea that Blake had won anything.  But turns out....he was the 2nd runner up for 7th grade!  The students vote for who will be king and queen.  It's an honor and I was SO proud of Blake!  But, I was totally unprepared and didn't get any good pics.  So, I just took a pic of these from the photographers website.  Terrible, but you get the idea;)

 The best part of the evening was getting to dance with my handsome boy.  He is a GREAT partner.  He knows the dances and could even help me while we were dancing.  I loved it!!

A great evening for all!  I'm one proud mom!!

Around Here....

 A quick update of what's been going on around here....I decided to get a little crafty one day and painted some birds.  They were from GaGa and Dessa's house, so way to hard to get rid of, so I decided to give them a makeover.  A couple of coats of cream paint later, and I love them!!

 My friend across the street, Amy, had a garage sale one day and it was freezing outside.  So, I brought her kiddos over here to play for the day.  Beau loved it and they all had fun!

 Bundled up and jumping!!  So fun!!

 Evan has been playing flag football through the Boys & Girls Club,  Its been pretty fun.  Very laid back and easy to watch.  He has enjoyed getting to try some new positions.  He has played quarterback quite a bit and has really loved getting a chance to pass the ball.  He's done really well, too!!  The only problem has been that it has overlapped with basketball and baseball.  Ugh!!  Having 3 sports going at one time will NEVER happen again!!

 Courtney got invited to a slumber party in Greenwood, so Sharon and Whitney brought her down and they spent the night with us.  It was SO fun to see these 2 playing together.  They pick up like they've never been apart.  They played so good together and had so much fun.  It was definitely bittersweet.  Made me miss Sharon SO much more!! (Thankfully we are leaving for Cancun together in just a few days!!)

 Sunday night was the Super Bowl.  We had the Moore's and the Drennan's over for a little party.  These kids together equal A LOT of boys and Sarah Beth:)

 Beau put on quite a half-time show for us.  Complete with dancing and stripping!!  Silly boy!!  The more we laughed and clapped, the more he got into it!

 A girl that works in Travis's office needed someone to keep her baby one day, so I told her I could do it.  Beau was in LOVE!!  He insisted that he give Aurora her bottle with NO help:)

 We made some banana nut bread muffins one morning and Beau helped.  He's a pretty good banana masher!

 A great morning working puzzles in our PJ's.  He worked really hard on this one!!

We are SO crazy busy right now, with basketball practice and games, football practice and games, and baseball practice for Evan.  Plus, Blake has Kuk Sool twice a week and trap practice once a week.  We've just got to get through the next 4 weeks and things will slow down just a bit!!
