We got up bright and early so that we could be at the Magic Kingdom when the ropes dropped! And, we made it!! We drove to the park, got on a shuttle, then took the ferry from the Transportation Center to Magic Kingdom! We were there in time to hear them sing Zipadee-dooda before they gates opened!
On side note: Nonnie had a lot of trouble falling asleep the night before because their were some kids being VERY loud in the pool, which was outside her window. So, she took 1/2 of an Ambien about 3am. Bad idea. VERY bad idea! Nonnie spent the first half of the day in a drug induced stupor:) We have all never laughed SO hard in all of our lives! She was hilarious. And we will NEVER let her live it down!!!
So, here are Beau and I ready to hit the ground running!!
My research worked great! We headed straight for the train that took us back to Frontierland. We were able to ride Splash Mountain (where Nonnie almost lost her watch;) and Big Thunder Mountain with NO LINES!! Then we walked on down to Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise with no lines either! Thank goodness for the man on the Jungle Cruise who "helped" Nonnie in!!
Then we went on over to Aladdin and rode the magic carpets. At this point it was SO hot!!!
Loved my riding partner!!!
Then we made our way to the Haunted Mansion. I loved this because I remembered it so well from when I was a kid. It might have been a little too scary for Beau, but he made it:)
Blake, Nonnie, and Poppy standing outside the exit.
We needed to cool off so we rode It's a Small World next. Again, it brought back great memories and its SO cool inside!! Nonnie might have hallucinated a little during this ride. Haha!!
And of course, we had to ride Cinderella's carousel!!
I had SO wanted to eat at Be Our Guest but was never able to snag dinner reservations. Apparently it is booked over 6 months out, so it was really impossible for us to get to eat there. But, it turns out they are open for "counter service" lunch. It was awesome! The whole place is beautiful. There are several different dining rooms all based after Beauty & the Beast. We walked around and looked at them all. They served your food at your table. It was a very nice "counter service" meal. Sadly, Nonnie has no recollection!
After lunch we went to our Fast Pass rides. We rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which was AMAZING! Beau called it the "little Santas" ride.Ha! We also rode Space Mountain. Using our Fast Passes and the "child rider" pass because Beau wasn't big enough, everyone got to ride twice!
I love how Disney lets you take pictures of the pictures! This is SO funny!!
The only real line we stood in all day was for the Tomorrow Land Speedway. We waited about 25 minutes. Nonnie and Poppy rested in the shade while we rode this one.
Evan and I rode together!
Travis & Beau Beau. Blake was big enough to ride alone!
As we were heading out for an afternoon rest. LOVE this!!!
And the boys with Nonnie & Poppy:)
We left to go back to the room for a little bit, then to eat some supper. We headed back for the late evening activities! We watched the fireworks over Cinderella's castle and watched the light parade. The only way to describe it is magical!! I teared up watching Tinkerbell fly from the castle. It was the perfect evening!
And here is our exhuasted crew getting on the ferry to head back for the night!
Epcot tomorrow!!
