Beau's 1st B-Day Party!!

Yesterday was party day!!  We celebrated Beau's 1st birthday with our family!!  It was SO fun and I'm sure he loved it:)

 I thought he would LOVE getting to open gifts.  Usually he is obsessed with tissue paper or bows.  But, mostly he just wanted to crawl around check things out.  He did get interested for just a few minutes!

 He had LOTS of helpers ready to jump in and open for him:)

 He got SO many great presents.  More toys than any child really needs, lots of clothes, pajamas, and shoes.  He doesn't realize just how loved and blessed he is.  Thank you everyone for EVERYTHING!!

 He got a new wagon from Nonnie and Poppy.  Nonnie had to miss the party (she is in ElDorado with GaGa nad Dessa), so she didn't get to see him!  He really LOVED it!!  I love it because it has seat belts, so I can strap him in!!!!!

 I see A LOT of this in our future!!  Of course, Whitney is sitting down, holding on, and Beau is ready to jump out:)

 Best friends!!  I just can't believe they are already a year old!!!

 We had a small catastrophe during the party.  A fake plant sitting on the counter in the boys bathroom caught on fire.  I mean...REALLY CAUGHT ON  FIRE!!  Flames and everything.  Thankfully Travis was able to get it out fairly quickly.  It really could have been bad.  It scares me to even think about it.  After everything was cleaned up, this was the only damage.  Time for a new countertop.  For those of you that were at our wedding, this incident shouldn't surprise you:)

 After a scrub-down we went outside to try out the wagon.  Look at my happy boy.  I think we will be spending a lot of time like this!

 It was such a pretty day.  I remember a day so much like this when Blake got his first wagon.  Wow!  Ten years apart!!!

 While Beau rode around in the wagon, the big kids played soccer in the yard.  Thanks Aunt Amy for such a cool soccer goal!!

Where has the time gone?  How is it possible that my little baby is 1 year old today?!  This year has flown by in the blink of an eye!!

 I've said it a million times, but having this precious baby was the BEST decision we have ever made!!  I can't even imagine our lives without him!!

 Just for fun, here he is 1 year ago!!

 I remeber this moment like it was yesterday...I just couldn't believe he was MINE!!!  So, sweet, perfect, and healthy.  I can remember that sweet baby smell and it makes me tear up!!

I am a sentimental sap, so today has already been full of happy tears for me!  I woke up so happy and so sad at the same time.  I'm thrilled that Beau is growing and healthy, but I'm just so sad my baby is now a toddler.  I'm just going to continue soaking in every moment.  WE LOVE our baby BEAU!!!

MORE Birthday Party!!

Saturday we had Blake's and Evan's "friend" birthday party at Pizza Warehouse.  Fun times!  We picked everyone up and spent the afternoon eating pizza and playing games.  This might be one of my favorite birthday party places yet!  Super easy and lots of fun.

I am so thankful for my boys.  I just can't believe they are 11 and 8 years old.  I'm also thankful for good friends to celebrate with.  Now, just Evan's "birthday day" celebration and we will be finished celebrating the big boys for the year.  Next weekend....Beau's 1st birthday party!!!

Welcome Home Dex!!!

I got to witness the most AMAZING thing Friday afternoon.  I got to see Nick and Mischelle introduce the rest of their family to their new son Dex.  It was just beautiful.  I told a friend later that it was the same feeling I feel when I help a friend actually deliver her baby.

For my non-Greenwood friends, they adopted Dex from China and we went to the airport to welcome them home!!

He just might be the cutest little 1 year old boy ever!! (Except for Beau, of course:)  I am thrilled for the Coston family!!  What am amazing gift!  I can't wait for Beau and Dex to get acquainted!!  Beau, Dex, and Whitney are going to be such sweet friends (whether they like it or not:)

Blake and Evan's Family B-Day Party!!

This past Sunday we had a family birthday party for Blake and Evan.  Since there birthday's are close together, they have liked the idea of celebrating together.  Fine with me!!!  So, Sunday we had all the family over after church for pizza and presents.

 Evan is SO funny.  Every time I would ask him what he wanted for his birthday he would say "a Walgreens gift card".  He was really serious!  So, Nonnie and Poppy got him one with $20 on it.  He was thrilled!!!  He says there are just SO MANY great things to buy at Walgreens.  (He makes me proud:)

 Blake's big present from Travis and I was a cell phone!!  I cannot believe that I am old enough to have a child with a cell phone.  I told Blake when I was in 5th grade the only way I could talk to anyone was a phone with a cord on it or a note:)  He's not going to be carrying it around much of anywhere, but it will be nice to have a phone to leave with him when I occassionally leave him at home while I run an errand or something.

 Evan's big present of the day was a new bike from Nana and PaPa!  He has been begging for a new bike.  He has absolutely outgrown his old one.  He has been getting in trouble for riding Blake's, so I'm SO glad he has his own big bike now!

 Beau's cousin Malory didn't want him to be left out, so she insisted that Beau get a present, too.  He LOVES it!!  He is starting to push trucks around and say vrooom,vrooom.  This one is perfect!

 Evan's other present that was a HUGE hit was an airsoft gun from Nonnie and Poppy.  He got a rifle and a pistol.  He also got a couple of targets.  He has been shooting off the deck constantly since he opened it!

 Blake also got a big Lego set and had to immediately start putting it together:)

 Here are my 8 year old and 11 year old with the cake that they picked out.  They requested that I make a triple layer yellow cake with chocolate icing.  Easy enough!!!

We had such a fun day celebrating with family.  I'm so proud of my two big boys and the amazing young men that they are becoming!!

Happy Halloween!!!

We had a lot of fun this Halloween.  Busy, crazy time!  Beau dressed up as a pirate.  Cutest pirate I EVER saw!!!  (Notice the props...sword and gun, supplied by Blake).

 Blake wore the John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever) suit again, and Evan was Pharoh.  Pretty cute crew if you ask me!!

First we headed for to the Scogins to visit.  These two were SO happy to see each other.  What a sweet little angel baby!!

A picture of the neighborhood crew!  I love, love, love our neighborhood!!  Apparently so does everyone else in Greenwood.  By 7:00 you couldn't even drive into our neighborhood.  Both sides of the street were lined with cars.  People came from everywhere to trick-or-treat in our here!!

 Beau had a BLAST!!  He got his first sucker and was in baby heaven!!  He sucked/slobbered on the same sucker all the way around our neighborhood!  Good stuff!!

      We also made our annual trip to Sonic for a free hot dog and Coke.  This is the highlight of the boy's Halloween:)  We also stopped at Granny's, the fire station, and Nonnie and Poppy's house.  We finished up the night trick-or-treating around N & P's neighborhood.  The boys got so much candy they had to empty their sacks and start over!  We had a really great night!
