The Great Summer Road Trip...Part 2

The next stop was Jackson Hole.  Lots of sights to see!
Everyone (except Blake) got a new cowboy hat:)  Blake picked out a new knife instead.  They ordered it and so he didn't get it until they got back home.
That is a BIG hot dog!!

They stayed in the cutest little cabin.  The boys loved the double bunk beds:)  They were able to catch up on laundry and sleep in a little at this stop!
Evan got a new Teddy Roosevelt bear.  He loves his bears:)
The next stop...Cheyenne!!!  Kyle, Amy, Gerogia, and Frontier Days!!!
They went to an awesome parade one day.
They even saw Smoky the Bear!!
 LOTS of horses!

One of the highlights for the boys was their first concert...Alan Jackson at Frontier Days!!  They were dressed and ready!

The rodeo arena with Alan Jackson's truck pulled right up in the middle!  Apparently it was a pretty awesome concert!

They had been planning to go to Cowboy Church all along the way.  Well, that morning everyone was pretty exhausted and mom said she had decided to just not set an alarm.  Well, Evan did, and he made sure everyone was up and ready to go.  Makes me very proud of him....it would be so easy to skip church while on vacation, but he was determined they were going.
Looking good for church!
Poppy looks pretty spiffy in his new hat!!
This was before the Championship Bull Riding!!  How awesome to get to watch the big dog all of bull riding at Frontier Days!!
They had a great time with Georgia!!
Kyle and Georgia watching some rodeo-ing!
She even got to ride a pony!
Georgia loves Blake and Evan, and they love here!!!
Love this!!  Fun times at the rodeo!!

And....one last stop.  Pikes Peak!!  I LOVE this facebook post my dad made!  They all said it really was pretty scary getting up there!!

But, they made it!!  They said it was SO hard to breath and the donuts weren't very good after all:(.
They were all glad to say they had been there, but no one wants to go back anytime soon!
And then...they headed home!  They were gone for 2 full weeks.  I'm not one to get super sentimental about my kids being gone.  I love that they are getting to experience new things and and getting great bonding time with their grandparents.  But after 2 weeks, I  missed them BAD!!!!  I was never so happy to see that red truck pull into our driveway!!!

Nonnie and Poppy had suprises for everyone.  Beau was SO happy to see them.  He latched onto Evan and wouldn't let go.  I had fixed them a big welcome home meal, so we all had pea pie and strawberry pie and sweet tea for dinner!!  Beau stayed on Evan's shoulders the whole time!!

SO glad that they got to go on this AMAZING trip, and SO glad they are home safely!!!  Until next time....
