The Great Summer Road Trip...Part 1

Blake, Evan, Nonnie, and Poppy took off on their BIG road trip on July 10 (right after Evan's team won the World Series).  I'm going to blog a "very condensed" version of their trip.  All the pictures  I have were either Facebook worthy or such happy things the boys texted them to me.  Their first stop was Omaha.  That is where ConAgra headquarters is, so they had to stop and visit.  

They had picnics all along the way....Love this!

 Their next big stop was Mt. Rushmore!!  A dream that both of them have had for a long time!!

 LOVE this text from Blake!!  He was so good at keeping me updated on where they were and what was going on!  So nice to have a child old enough to do that for you!!

 The boys thought this was hilarious.  Their bag of gummy bears melted all together and made one big gummy glob:)

 Next stop...YELLOWSTONE!!!  The boys have been looking forward to this for years!!

 The thing the wanted to do the very most on this trip was to stay at the Old Faithful Inn.  And it didn't disappoint!  Mom booked this night MANY months ago.  Absolutely unbelievable.  They could watch Old Faithful erupt from their room!!

 They saw SO many beautiful things.  Hard to believe such amazing sights are right here in the U.S.  I've got to get out more;))

One day they all took a horseback tour of part of Yellowstone.  Talk about an amazing experience!  Of course, the boys absolutely LOVED it!  Nonnie and Poppy might have been a little sore afterwards;)

I'm SO very thankful the boys got to take this trip with my parents.  Truly an opportunity of a lifetime.  And, a trip we couldn't have possibly taken with a 3 year old for many more years.  They are blessed!  More to come!!!
