Contacts for Evan!!

Evan had a big day on Friday...he got contacts!!!  He has really been worried about wearing glasses and playing football.  So, last time we were at the eye doctor we talked to him about contacts for Evan.  He said he was still a little young, but because we had a good reason, he was willing to give it a try.

So, we went Friday for his fitting.  He did SO good and came home with a trial pair.  He has been practicing like crazy.  He is DETERMINED to make it work, and so I know that he will do great.  I'm very proud of how careful he has been and he hasn't gotten frustrated even once trying to get them in. 

The first day it took about 10 tries on each eye to get them in, and by yesterday he was getting them in with only 2 or 3 tries per eye.  He really wanted to take them with him on vacation with Nonnie and Poppy, so we let him.  He was able to get them out last night with no trouble at all, and mom said this morning he put them in himself, also.  I think he's gonna make it!!!
